National Dance Day & Six Flags Over Texas
Saturday, July 31st
will be the place to show off your dance moves.
Come out to the theme
park and join other dancers in a universal performance of the
Dizzy
Feet Foundation routine that was choreographed specifically for
National Dance Day.
National Dance Day was created by So You Think You Can Dance executive producer,
Nigel Lythgoe, in hopes of encouraging people from all walks of life to get up and move.
Six Flags Over Texas, Fox 4 and KISS FM will host the National Dance Day event from 4 - 5pm.
Leading the efforts at Six Flags Over Texas Front Gate Stage will be special guests from
Dance Council of North Texas
teaching park-goers a routine created by notable
choreographers
Napoleon and Tabitha D’umo. All dance activities will be at the
Southern Palace at 1PM. The Front Gate Stage event will begin at 3:30
with a
choreography lesson for all participants.

"You have to love dancing to stick to it.
It gives you nothing back, no manuscript to stow away,
no paintings to show on walls and maybe hung in museums,
no poems to be printed and sold,
nothing but that single fleeting moment when you feel alive."
-- Merce Cunningham (1919-2009)
