MUSICAL THEATRE SCHOLARSHIPS!

Denise Gallagher Memorial Scholarship
Established by Mike Gallagher in loving memory of his wife.
Lyric Stage Musical Theatre Dance Scholarship
Both provide tuition of $695 to Lyric Stage Broadway Stars Camp, June 14 - July 1
at Irving Arts Center. Awarded to a dancer aged 13-18 who exhibits an interest in all
three elements of musical theatre -- singing, dancing and acting. Students will receive 3
weeks of instruction by musical theatre professionals in singing, dancing, acting and
technical theatre. The camp culminates in a professionally produced all-youth production
of "Bye, Bye Birdie" with a live orchestra at Carpenter Performance Hall.
Lyric Stage is dedicated to the preservation of the American Musical and is Dallas
County’s only locally produced professional musical theatre company. It is North Texas’
most honored theatre winning 35 Dallas Theatre League Leon Rabin Awards and a
special citation from the Dallas Theatre Critics Forum for excellence and innovation.
Applicants may receive only one scholarship per year.
If you have already received a 2010 scholarship, please do not apply.
If you have received a DCNT scholarship in previous years,
you are eligible to apply.

to be featured in the pre-show, National Tap Dance Celebration, at The Music Hall 7:00 - 7:45 PM before performances of WICKED, June 15 - 19. Intermediate/ Advanced Level Male and Female
Tap Dancers, ages 13-20.
