March 31-April 1. TITAS Presents: Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater. The world renowned modern dance company brings their rich and diverse work to Dallas. This is a show that cannot be missed! March 31 at 8:00pm and April1 at 2:00pm and 8:00pm at the Winspear Opera House, 2403 Flora St. Dallas, TX 75201. $12-$200.


March 31-April 1. Aurora’s Wedding. Ballet Ensemble of Texas under the direction of Allan Kinzie will present a mixed repertoire program featuring "Aurora's Wedding" set by international artistic director Anna-Marie Holmes in the version she learned from Bronislava Nijinska during her years spent in Russia. Also on the program will be Louis Gottschalk's famous "Tarantella" choreographed by Lisa Slagle, a new work by Tammie Reinsch which is a whimsical reflection of today's technology and "Flower Festival" Pas de Deux by August Bournonville and danced by Rayleigh Vendt and Walker Martin from the Oklahoma City Ballet. Director's Choice. LakeCities Ballet Theatre presents its annual spring dance concert, "Director's Choice".
Artistic Director, Kelly Kilburn Lannin gathers a variety of dance works and artists to appeal to all lovers of dance. Featured on the program will be the LBT premiere of Elégie, Tschaikovsky Suite No. 3 choreographed by George Balanchine© with permission from The George Balanchine Trust and staged by former New York City Ballet member, Michele Gifford. This will be the 4th ballet by George Balanchine© that LBT has performed and one of the few times this ballet has been performed by a regional ballet company in Texas.  Also on the program will be La Esmeralda Suite staged by resident company teacher and choreographer, Deborah Weaver. The popular ballet features music by Cesare Pugni and originally choreographed by Jules Perrot and inspired by the novel Notre-Dame de Paris. There will be other favorite works of Lannin's to include choreography by resident choreographers, Shanon Tate and Shannon Beacham. March 31-April 1 at 7:30 with a Director's Q & A at6 pm, prior to the Saturday evening performance. Medical Center of Lewisville Grand Theater, located at 100 N. March 31. The Department of Dance at Eastfield College and The Arts Collective present the 2017 Faculty Dance Concert in the Performance Hall at Eastfield College. The one-night only performance will take place on Friday, March 31 at 8 p.m. The 2017 Faculty Dance Concert features works by Dance Program Coordinator Danielle Georgiou, Faculty Members Melissa Sanderson and Kiera Amison, Artists-in-Residence Claire Augustine and Elisa De La Rosa, and Guest Artist Jordan Fuchs. Performers include company members from Danielle Georgiou Dance Group, Jordan Fuchs Company, Muscle Memory Dance Theatre, and independent dancers from Dallas, Denton, and Houston.This year's concert will feature premieres from Ms. Georgiou ("It's Best To Consult Others Before Taking Unusual Actions") and Ms. Sanderson ("Snake"). Ms. Amison will restage "going Mad," which premiered this year at the Muscle Memory Dance Theatre spring concert. Guest artist, Mr. Fuchs, will present an excerpt from his upcoming trio, "Torsion," and current Eastfield College Artists-in-Residence Ms. Augustine and Ms. De La Rosa will both present solos. 8:00pm.
