Tommie-Waheed Evans moves you as emotionally charged Bodies as Site of Faith and Protest draws on fierce physical language through dance set to iconic speech excerpts by Martin Luther King, Jr. Witness the strength and stamina of DBDT dancers as they push through the layers of Lily Cabatu Weiss' Thrown for a Loop. Weiss navigates the unknown as the dancers explore the complexities of life's unexpected challenges. Friday and Saturday at 7:30PM | Sunday at 2:30PM. $22-$58. November 16-17-18. Ballet Frontier presents The Nutcracker. Ballet Frontier has been captivating audiences with their production of The Nutcracker for ten years. With its cast comprised of professional dancers, talented youth, dazzling costumes, and world class choreographer, the stage is set for an unforgettable holiday experience for all ages! November 19 - 21. Dallas Black Dance Theatre
. The community is invited to take a FREE peek "Behind the Scenes" of Dallas Black Dance Theatre's five performing companies. Presented by Nordstrom, this collection of intimate noontime performances provides an opportunity for audiences to meet the dancers, get a glimpse of their rehearsal process, and preview works that are being developed for future performances. Monday and Tuesday DBDT and DBDT: Encore! perform. Wednesday all three youth ensembles from the Dallas Black Dance Academy perform.
